Lunch concert at the Waalse Kerk

The foundation Culture at Noon organises a diverse concert programme in the Waalse church, with a lunchtime concert on Friday afternoons at 12:00.

Programme April to June 2024:

• 19 April: Tarik Kaan Alkan (piano) has won numerous first prizes at international competitions, including in Turkey and Milan. In 2019, he even performed as a pianist at the famous Carnegie Hall. In Breda, he will play a prelude and fugue by J.S. Bach, Beethoven's 'Appassionata', a ballade by Chopin, and a sonata by Scriabin.

• 26 April: Elizabeth Perry (violin) and Toru Oyama (piano) made her debut at the Royal Albert Hall at the age of thirteen, where she performed with Menuhin. In 2013, she became the first concertmaster of the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest. Japanese pianist Toru Oyama initially studied literature in Tokyo before moving to Europe to focus on piano studies. The duo will play Mozart's Violin Sonata K. 526, Faure's Violin Sonata No. 2 op. 108, and Ravel's Tzigane.

• 24 May: Risa Tanaka, Klara Adamovich, Nadia Guba, Marco Guetiérrez, and Lisa Franken perform on three violins and two cellos.

• 31 May: Victor Demarquette (piano)

• 7 June: Spanish Landscapes by Itzias Espinar (soprano) and Hector Valls (piano)

• 14 June: Connor Im and Charlotte Im perform on two violins and piano

• 28 June: Eva Aukes (guitar)
