The catering facility of Nieuwe Veste is named BOMEN, and that is no coincidence. In the terrace garden, you can find the oldest trees in Breda: black mulberries that were planted around 1780 in the garden of the then Huize Ocrum, one of the manor houses. Nieuwe Veste was even designed in a way that these monumental trees could remain in place.

At BOMEN, you can enjoy coffee with fresh cake, a delicious lunch, or a drink with a snack inside and on the terrace under the mulberry trees.
