Are you looking for parking possibilities for your visit to Breda? On this page you will find all the information about how to park your car or bicycle safely and correctly.

Paid Parking

Paid parking applies on the public road in large parts of the city centre, in the Belcrum/Liniekwartier/Drie Hoefijzers area and in the Ginneken neighborhood. Paid parking applies from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 until 22:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 until 18:00.

In the so-called "walk-in streets" (Boschstraat, Nieuwe Haagdijk, Haagdijk, Nieuwe Ginnekenstraat, Ginnekenweg, Van Coothplein, Ginnekenmarkt, Wilhelminastraat and Viandenlaan), parking is free after 18:00 (except on shopping evenings, in which case paid parking is valid until 22:00).

First fifteen minutes for free

In the Boschstraat, Korte Boschstraat, Haagdijk, Nieuwe Haagdijk, Nieuwe Ginnekenstraat, Ginnekenweg, Ginnekenmarkt, Speelhuislaan, Pastoor Pottersplein and Wilhelminastraat.

How does it work?
You enter your license plate number on the payment machine, which registers your free parking time for the parking officer. If you’re parked for longer than 15 minutes, you don’t pay for the first 15 minutes. This is processed by the machine automatically. The new machines accept payments by card and contactless as well as cash.
With mobile parking the free minutes are also processed automatically.

Park and ride

During large-scale events in Breda (e.g.Breda Jazz Festival) you can park your car on the car park by the NAC-Breda football stadium. From there you can take a bus to the city centre for a small price. The buses depart frequently.

Disability parking spots

All parking garages and public parking spots on the street include reserved parking spots for people with a disability. Using these disabled parking spots is free. The use of these spots requires an official ‘disability parking ticket’ to be placed by the window of your car.
Watch the list with streets where you find parkingspaces for disabled people.

Borrowing wheelchairs
The parking garages on the Concordiastraat, De Barones, De Prins and the Chasséparking offer wheelchairs on loan for a small deposit so you can visit Breda’s city centre.
