<p>Discover Breda on foot or by bike through the walking and cycling routes that we have created for you. Are you interested in a historical city walk, do you like walking through nature, or do you want to discover the creative side of Breda? Then choose one of these cool routes. We have also thought of the runners and cyclists who prefer to go faster and stop less. Enjoy!</p>

This route is approximately 106 kilometres long and takes you from Breda to the fortified town of Heusden.

Cycling route Around Heusden - Marten

A lovely loop where you cross the water multiple times. You cycle through a beautiful part of Biesbosch and take the ferry to Werkendam. Rondje Pontje, for riders who are not afraid of a bit of crosswind on the open plains.

Cycling route - Mark

On 29th October 1944, the Second World War came to an end for Breda. On 5th May, we celebrate the freedom of the whole of the Netherlands. We have created a route of about 2.5 km along the places in the centre of Breda that commemorate the war, especially our Polish liberators.

Liberation walk through Breda

A 27 km bike route that connects the Royal Roots highlights with each other. In Breda and its surroundings, you will find many traces of the Nassau family. Discover impressive buildings, ancient forests, unique locations and contemporary artworks. This route takes you along mostly historic sites. Zero Waste Recycle Route

Blind Walls Gallery is working on an expanding collection of murals. Artworks on blank walls, created by (inter)national artists, designers and illustrators depict the stories of the city. Together, they form a painted history of Breda, telling about the present and looking ahead to the future.

In the summer of 2021, the 100th mural was unveiled at Planciusplein. On this cycling map, you will find a beautiful selection of the murals in the most charming corners of the city. After this cycling route along so many beautiful places, you will understand why the people of Breda are so attached to their town.
