SOLO 33 - Wineke Gartz
In the downstairs area of Club Solo, Wineke Gartz shows The Way Home (2008) during BredaPhoto, a video installation she made for a former nuclear bomb shelter (Safe, Dalfsen) that is now being reactivated.

A new site-specific installation can be seen in the upper room: a rhythmic spatial collage in which, among other things, abstract fragments from her adolescence return. A spiritual work about herself, action, stillness and movement.

Wineke Gartz
Wineke Gartz (Eindhoven, 1968) works with all elements of the space where she builds her installations, such as size and proportion, incidence of natural light and the history of a building. Together with the drawings, video projections, rhythms, geometric shapes, objects of use and the soundtrack they add, it becomes one energetic whole. Everything in the room is aimed at intensifying the perception of the visitors and evoking a meditative state in them.
