In the weekend of 19, 20 and 21 August, the La Vuelta party starts in Breda. On various squares in the city centre, Ginneken, Ulvenhout and Brack, everyone can enjoy a wonderful programme. On some squares the party already starts on Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday and at the extra outdoor bars it is one big party on all squares. On Sunday 21 August, La Vuelta Holanda can be followed on a large screen on every square. Between start and finish there is plenty to do and also after the finish in many squares the party goes on. La Vuelta brings cycling and partying to Breda!

See here the overview of the Plazas Fiestas of La Vuelta Holanda and the corresponding programme.

Havermarkt

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Havermarkt is in any case the entertainment centre of Breda, but during the Vuelta weekend it goes even further. The whole weekend you can enjoy performances by various DJs and De Jongens van Jeweetwel.  On Sunday, you can follow the cycling race on a large screen. After the finish, you can enjoy all the snacks, drinks and music.

Kerkplein

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Kerkplein guarantees the best vinyl DJs and a nice, relaxed atmosphere all weekend long. On stage day, this is the place to be to witness the start of La Vuelta. Please note: there is not much room for visitors on the Kerkplein, so make sure you are on time. After the start, you can also admire the rest of the race on large screens.

Valkenberg Park

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

DJs, a relaxed atmosphere in the park, sunset over the Castle, friends around you. Who wouldn't want that? At the T-huis in Park Valkenberg, you will find that all weekend long. At the same time, you do not have to miss anything of the race, because it can be followed on a large screen here on Sunday. After the finish of La Vuelta Holanda, the party continues here.

De Haven

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The entrepreneurs of the Haven make La Vuelta one big party. They do this, together with the visitors, during the first edition of the Havenfeesten. On three stages they present a great programme of acoustic singer-songwriters, DJs and great (cover) bands the entire weekend. On Sunday, you can watch the whole race on a big screen.

Brack - Fiesta D'el Bracko

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Brack transforms itself into a Spanish atmosphere for a whole weekend: Fiesta D'el Bracko! On Friday evening there is a presentation of a beer specially brewed for the Vuelta with a Spanish twist, a paella party and a Spanish cult film on the mega screen. Saturday you can enjoy flamenco dancing with live music and delicious tapas. On Sunday you can watch the stage and there are acitivities all day long such as bike games for young and old.

Ulvenhout

Sunday

At the Dorpstraat in Ulvenhout the race of La Vuelta Holanda is out of neutral. This means that the cyclists cross through Ulvenhout at full speed. Around Cafetaria 't Nippeltje you can enjoy an atmospheric gathering during this Tour of Spain in Breda.

Chasséveld

Sunday

On Sunday 21 August, you can follow the match on large LED screens and enjoy a nice cold beer with a selection of artists. Music from the 70s and 80s combined with the biggest Dutch hits will turn this square into a true party palace. Around the end of the afternoon, La Vuelta finishes right in front of you at the Claudius Prinsenlaan. At this plaza you have a good view of the prize-giving ceremony of the Tour of Spain.
After the prize-giving ceremony, the party goes on until around 20.00 hrs. Afterwards, you are of course welcome to enjoy a drink at one of the plazas in the city centre, Valkenberg or Ginneken.

Mucha Mierda

Sunday

At this plaza, you have the cyclists in your sights at least twice! At the end of the afternoon, La Vuelta finishes right in front of you at the Claudius Prinsenlaan. And on the gigantic screen, you will not miss a second of the race.

Mucha Mierda is the green oasis during La Vuelta in Breda. Come and enjoy the phenomenal Ghent band Congazz and the nostalgic DJs from Bakkenliedjes. Good coffee, good food and delicious special beers. Settle down in the grass or take a seat at the picnic tables and play a game of KUB or Jeu de Boules in the meantime. Plaza Mucha Mierda can be found in the park near the Polish Maria Chapel on Claudius Prinsenlaan. The festivities start at 12:00 and continue after the finish of the Vuelta until around 20:00.
