La Vuelta brings cycling and festivities to Breda

On 21 August 2022, one of the biggest cycling races of the world will come to Breda. La Vuelta will be on Dutch soil for three days. With (international) top cyclists, a team presentation and three beautiful stages. The third and final stage in the Netherlands starts and finishes in Breda. The Stage Breda - Breda

The third stage of La Vuelta will start and finish in the centre of Breda. The start of this 194 kilometre stage will be special. The peloton will start on the grounds of Kasteel van Breda and then continue through the Kasteelplein and across the Grote Kerk. The cyclists will stop at the Grote Kerk and walk with their bikes by the hand through the church. View the route and all the information you need here.

Plazas Fiestas

In the weekend of 19, 20 and 21 August, the La Vuelta party starts in Breda. On various squares in the city centre, Ginneken, Ulvenhout and Brack everyone can enjoy the cycling race and a big party. Check here the programme and the party squares.

Route

The route leads through almost all of West Brabant, the birthplace of Dutch cycling. The stage starts from Kasteel van Breda in neutral to Ulvenhout. There the real race starts to Alphen-Chaam, Baarle-Nassau, Gilze en Rijen, Dongen, Oosterhout, Drimmelen, Moerdijk, Halderberge, Steenbergen, Bergen op Zoom, Woensdrecht, Roosendaal, Rucphen,Etten-Leur and Breda.

Breda wants everyone to be able to enjoy this top event. That is why there are extra facilities for people who have difficulty walking, are visually impaired or easily overexcited. On the page with information about the stage day you will find everything you need to know.
